What do you think of the 2012 logo?
My reaction to the logo is very misleading to people, and a logo is very important to connect strongly with an audience. In this case this logo should appeal to everyone and this will only have attention to a selected few, because at a glimpse you can only just see a bunch of shapes. I really dont believe this to be a finished project, there is no imagination behind this piece and I would have had this as a design and then went around in different locations of England and have a public opinions to back it up.
By comparing to the Beijing 2008 logo it is a finished design. The logo incorporates elements of the country and there own history. The image shows a person running in the red; it really looks like a chinese word or symbol of some kind. There is no flow within the London logo and I really believe they let the nation down, by even suggesting a really bad one like this. It is a logo and unfortunately we have to take this one as ours, in history books they will maybe line up all the logos and there will be London's.
I will have a go at creating a logo myself and upload it to deviant art.com and try and see if I'll get a better reaction than what the public really thinks of it.
